Here are my first real attempts at making cards from June 2005. Click on any small picture to see a bigger picture
Pre made cream card stock with silver edged plastic window placed on card.
Flower punched out of purple and white hand made cards and small metal jewel glued in the center.
Very simple card.
Glued pale blue paper to front of pre made white card stock.
Embossed blue paper with flowers and butterflies texture plate and attached to the card.
Embossed single rose with leaves onto scraps of white pearlised card and Best Wishes to a bigger piece of the same card.
Glued embossed pieces to the card. This didn't work at all the layout does not look right.
Inside is three nested pieces of card. The two red cards are embossed with snowflakes using texture plate.
Outside I folded a piece of vellum in a gatefold style with a silver thin sticker wrapped around the card.
The card is impractical, nowhere to write a greetings and the nested inserts are not square.

A piece of cream card was folded into a gatefold style card.
Embossed a big piece of orange paper and cut it into two thin strips and a big rectangle
Glued the large rectangle on the inside of the card and the two thin strips on the outside front folds
Again not practical for using and the orange strips are not square.
Folded cream card to form this card and cut the edges with a craft pattern scissors
Simple embossed card of an apple tree with 'best wishes' embossed underneath
Cut out three windows using a craft knife, a bit ragged but not bad for a first effort
In each window I placed a silver edged plastic window on the inside of the card
On each plastic window, a red jewel flower shape was glued with a silver jewel attached to the center of the flowers
Added Happy Birthday peel offs above and below the cards.
Simple peel offs of two hands and a fan attached to pre made cream card
Fan was coloured in with metallic pens
Folded from four small squares, following instructions, I might have another go at tea bag folding.
Simple peel offs of window was attached to plastic sheet which was mounted in a pre made green window card
Window was coloured in with glazed pens, which dries to look like stained glass
Cut down two A5 red pre made cards to square shapes.
Used templates to cut out windows and prick design to be sewed
Sewed the cards using the patterns using silver thread
Attached special effect plastic behind the windows to the card
Al these cards are made in the same way on pre made cream card stock.
Embossed textures on to pieces of cream vellum backed with a coloured paper, making an interesting effect.
Topped with smaller pieces of card with punched flowers. bells or purple jewel shapes glued on the top.
I think the green/blue and red cards look alright, not keen on the yellow purple colour combination
The first two cards are silver or gold vellum attached to pre made cream card stock.
The flower design is stamped on a piece of cream card and heated with embossing powder in silver or gold
The designed card was attached with eyelets to the main card
The third card as double embossed. First all over with gold and then with the flower design in silver
This design was glued to black handmade paper and then onto the pre made card stock.
Using robo to cut out the bride and groom and congratulations in blue card
The first card is the outline of the cut shape backed with embossed swirled white paper
The second card is the cut shape attached to the card with foam pads, so the bride and groom stand proud of the card
Folded a card out of blue card and embossed with raindrops
Fitted two eyelets on the card and threaded a silver elastic 'washing line'
Cut out Shirt, umbrella and the letters 'Bad Day ?' in gold card using the robo
The shirt and umbrella were also embossed with raindrops and attached to the card
Added small wooden pegs to peg the shirt to the card
I like this card but when would I send it to someone...Monday morning at the office ?
I download a paid for pattern from somewhere.
The design was pricked out onto pre made mottled cream card.
Design was sewn in various coloured sewing threads.
This was the first card I gave away, as a thank you for a wonderful work mate.
Based on a silver card folded into an A4 card.
I designed a corner cut out on robo and cut out the corner cut pattern in a piece of cream vellum
The vellum was stamped with silver ink with my new butterfly stamp and attached to the card
Pretty blue ribbon was fixed down the center of the card
Three handmade lilac vellum flowers were placed on the ribbon
The vellum flowers were made by punching out two big flowers shapes and one small one. The shapes are glued nested together with a jewel glued in the centre
The flowers petals were curled to make the flower 3D. A lot of fiddle for a small flower but I liked the result.

I tried drawing several bears using clip arts as models and varied the colours and finally settled on this pink bear
Printed it out on my printer and cut it on my robo.
A lady at my local craft shop suggested the plastic front, double sticky foam and backing, sandwiched with glitter in the middle.
Instead of glitter, the card has silver beads with cutouts of hearts (for love) teddy heads (because of the card) and ones (her age) in pink card
The backing card is a picture of Lucy herself with her name printed in pink.
Inside a piece of vellum was glued after being printed on the printer and cut out with robo.
The silver beads and pink card shapes move if you shake the card, like a snow globe.
Card cut with half circles and half rectangles in lines down right hand side of card and all edges cut with very fine wave pattern.
Shapes pushed out and refolded to form interesting chain pattern. I like this effect and will make more cards with it. Finally chains are backed with white card.
